We received the following report which was originally sent to General Presbyter of Asia/Oceania Islands. We share this with you so that you may join us in praying for the growing work in Myanmar.Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and all your whole family. As I have told you in the previous mail, I started my mission trip to these places of Magway Division, one of the States in Myanmar, in December 20th, 2009 which is about 459 KM away from Yangon. The places are Salin, White Elephant Island and Sanpya village in Magway Division.
I spend there 8 days with the local people and shared the Good News with them. By the grace of God, 10 persons from pure Buddhists background accepted Jesus Christ and were given Water Baptism on December 26, 2009.
In Salin and White Elephant Island Magway Division, the Evangelical Revival Church & Spaniel Evangelical Church has entered under the leadership of our organization.
They have the church land for their own, and I laid the building foundation for the church building. However, they need about $2500 U.S to complete this project. And, they also urgently need to dig water well that will cost $160 U.S. We covet you fervent prayer for this project please.
Moreover, Magway Division is one of the Buddhist fully dominated areas in Myanmar, and we have strong desire to start a short-term mission training center in this place. This will really help to reach the local non-believers.
