ROBERTS TABERNACLE VBS 2008

AMAZON EXPEDITION

The VBS at Roberts Tabernacle, Westmoreland, Tennessee  was a great success.  We had 5 wonderful days with each night being focused upon a different aspect of the "7 C's of History," Creation, Corruption, Catastrophe, Confusion, Christ & the Cross and Consummation.  Each night was an adventure in History ending with an "Indiana Jones" type drama.  On Saturday VBS ended with a field trip to the Creation Museum.  The 55 passenger charter bus was full.  Our church families had a tremendous time.  All of them told me they had no idea that Evolution was so deeply rooted until they found themselves realizing they too just accepted facts that had been presented to them on the age of the earth, carbon dating, and other false statements related to creation.

We had 12 saved during VBS.  Some testified on Sunday morning about feeling happier and not being angry at their brothers.  And we have another MIRACLE to report.  Jennifer Woods, one of our moms has been blind for several weeks.  On Wednesday evening of VBS Jaylee, Jennifer’s daughter came up so that we could pray for her mom.  Jaylee's whole team gathered around her and the entire school stretched hands forth as we prayed to God for Jennifer's healing.  After the prayer Jaylee's team gave her a group hug with lots of tears and rejoicing.   That night Jaylee went home and told her mom the kids at VBS had prayed for her.  Jennifer went to bed that night in great pain and no vision.  The next morning, when Jennifer awoke, she had no pain and her vision had returned.  Praise God for this MIRACLE.

The children who attended VBS also participated in this year’s Helping Hands for Kids giving project, “Dump the Dump.”  They raised almost $800, enough to provide 3200 hot meals for children who usually eat from the garbage at the Teculutan, Guatemala landfill.
