On Monday, June 18 viewers of the 700 Club, a popular one-hour daily news program featuring religious news and reporting world events, saw a feature of this week's Church of the Week, the Tilghman Road Church of God of Prophecy in Salisbury, Maryland. This local church was selected as this week's church for ho
sting regular, Family Days.
“This day we celebrate what the Lord has done through our families of our congregation and those that we’ve been able to touch by the grace of God,” says Pastor Gary Smith.
“This past year at our Family Day, we concluded our day of fun and fellowship and food with a water baptismal service and we were able to witness 18 new converts in water baptism,” he reports.
And each week throughout the year, church families get together with single parent families and other families with problems for “family service.”
“Any event that you can do as a church that enhances families can only enhance your spiritual experience when you gather for worship as well,” Pastor Smith says.
