For whosoever shall give you a cup of water to drink in my name, because ye belong to Christ, verily I say unto you, he shall not lose his reward. (Mark 9:41).

When we talk about the responsibility of the Church in obeying the Great Command of Jesus, we are talking about an every member involved program. When we consider the Church of God of Prophecy in approximately 105 nations, and the yearly budget that has been allocated to Missions, we suddenly realize that something must be done to assist with this gigantic task.

Throughout the New Testament we read of the Early Church and their willingness to give. Strong churches helped weaker churches. Poverty stricken areas were helped by more abundant churches. A system of brotherhood existed. Note Paul's prayer, "...I...received the things which were sent from you...But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory..." (Philippians 4:18-19)

The nature of true Christian love, is not only to feel concern for our brothers in their need, but to do what we can to help them. To most of us, this knowledge brings to mind the question,

What can I do??
The Lord does not ask us to give what we do not have. He only asks us to share what we do have. It is not a matter of giving a certain amount...it is a matter of giving. And it is a good work to help a good minister in need.

The Helping Hand Ministry is a ministry that affords individuals the opportunity to give personal offerings for specific mission purposes or ministries. These funds are sent directly to the specified mission fields for the specified purposes.

Each year this funding assists up to 75 nations. The Helping Hand Ministry assists in five crucial areas of need. Those five areas are ministerial assistance, transportational needs, building construction costs, special projects, and disaster relief.

Missionaries could not have gone in the past unless people like you and I send them. They will not be able to maintain the work they have established or reach out to others today unless you and I are committed to that work.
