Discipleship Goals:
Scripture clearly indicates that it is Gods will for every believer to achieve spiritual maturity grow up into Him in all things (Ephesians 4:15), with our ultimate goal to be like Jesus. Spiritual growth is a process that begins with a decision and a commitment and involves the development of spiritual disciplines. The local fellowship can be instrumental in helping women find their place in the body by pressing toward the following goals:
- To provide opportunities for women to receive Christ as Savior
- To bring acceptance to the truth that women are called of God to ministry/discipleship
- To educate women that we are not disciples simply because we know about Him
- To provide instruction concerning spiritual disciplines and giftedness
- To involve women in evangelism and outreach efforts in order to share their faith
- To use women in unique service ministry
- To build confidence in the calling and use of women by God
- To find completeness, fulfillment, justification, and approval for those ministries from God
