Mission Marker Partners was chosen as the designation of this ministry as a connection to an earlier vision for supporting mission needs that seemed impossible. Three decades ago people and churches gave to build "Mission Markers" and the impact was significant with nearly one million dollars given. The concept of that day was that each church built would be a "marker" to witness for the gospel of Christ. Today our mission efforts stand in desperate need of a new wave of mission giving vision and Mission Marker Partners provides the opportunity.

Here are our goals:

Partners Wanted...
To help build 3,000 church buildings that are now needed in the COGOP. Recently the General Presbyters of the Church of God of Prophecy met and discussed the likelihood that out of the 8,000 churches we have around the world there are 3,000 that do not have a building. It was obvious that as leaders we had to do something to let the Church know about this huge need. No one wants to let 3,000 churches continue to meet under a tree or wherever they can find shelter. But we knew that without extra help this could not be done. Partnership was the solution.

Partners Needed...
To help enter new harvesting opportunities in new nations and current nations. Two years ago General Overseer Fred Fisher realized that we were not going to be able to support the thirteen new nations that the Church of God of Prophecy had just entered unless we received some special financial help. Many have heard of and contributed to the Marching Toward One Million Offering. That was a huge help. But what will happen with the next new nation. As only one illustration, General Presbyter Clayton Endecott shared with the General Overseer that without additional help he was not going to be able to establish churches in the four new nations they have been preparing. Needy nations like Croatia and Serbia. Partnership is the solution.

Partners Recruited...
To help to provide extra mission support where allotments cannot stretch far enough to reach. In so many nations in Africa, as well as other areas, nearly every nation has more opportunities for evangelization than they have resources to answer these calls. Each overseer knows that he must move while the fire is burning, while the fields are ripe. Yet so often they cannot, they have no further resources. They do not lack young men to go. They do not lack hungry hearts to hear. They do not lack spiritual conviction and power to make a difference. But they need partnership to help them carry the gospel banner on.

Partners Enlisted...
To donate monthly, or regularly, to partner with others to make the impossible a reality. Mission Marker Partners aims to recruit partners and inform partners so that the regular additional mission giving of these partners will acheive the goals given above.

Each Mission Marker Partner will receive partnership updates sharing either needs for support in our three target goals, or testimonies of victory as churches are built, new harvest opportunities are reached, and ministry beyond the limits is provided. This effort could only be possible due to the greater ease of communicating via email and the web site. Each Mission Marker Partner Update will be sent via email and will be placed on the Mission Marker Partner pages of the Global Outreach web site.

Integrity in accountability...
Each Mission Marker Partner will receive a regular report of the projects receiving support through this ministry. In that way we can all rejoice together that we have participated as partners in harvest advance when the accountability reports are read.
