Helping Hands
Transportation

Mission work is long and challenging. And the spirit of the missionary is always as the spirit of Christ, I must go to the next town also. In many lands where our ministers labor, travel can present a problem. Villages may lie only a few miles away, but transportation is often not available. Many walk as they climb mountains, travel through barren wilderness, and cross rivers.

/files/Departments/Helping Hands/Images/Transportation2.jpgMany active ministers need vehicles; they oversee more than one congregation and traverse many miles to do so. Often in third world nations, forms of transportation are a luxury and can be as much as two and three times as much as what you could find in the United States. With additional taxes, it becomes almost impossible for the missionary to underwrite the costs.

Missionaries need bicycles, motorbikes, motorcycles, horses, mules, boats, cars, all terrain vehicles, four wheel drive trucks, and various sorts of vehicles. Through your giving, you can become a partner in the many souls a missionary can reach by means of transportation.

/files/Departments/Helping Hands/Images/Transportation3.jpgThe cost depends on the nation and the type of transportation to be purchased. Costs can be as little as $100 for a bicycle or as much as $20,000 for all terrain vehicles that can transport evangelistic equipment into the most difficult of regions.
