One of the most worthwhile and effective contributions that can be made to help spread the gospel is that of assisting a minister. Many consecrated workers willingly give of themselves for the ministry and receive little or no support. Many live in poverty. Some of them work at jobs, then walk miles to carry on their ministerial duties. Many missionaries serve as pastors, often caring for more than one congregation.
Many of these have no offering except those that are sent through the Helping Hand Ministry by donors. Because you and others like you give, not out of abundance, but out of love, these have been able to serve more effectively.
Assisting ministers often means that their families will have provisions for that month. You are an important factor in missions. You can be the hand that extends to the mission fields today. A monthly contribution can mean so much to them. The amount you give might not be sufficient to cover their entire support, but it would be encouraging to know that someone cares enough about their work as a minister to want to assist. Any amount given monthly is a help. Anywhere from $20.00 a month and up depending on the nation.
